Message from our CEO

The issue of workplace harassment and discrimination is serious and expensive. Companies both large and small are searching for ways to protect their reputation as well as their resources. Litigation costs and judgments are at an all time high.

Our clients are industry leaders concerned with the physical and moral health of their employees. They are not satisfied with meeting minimum standards. We help them shape their work environments so that their employees can be as productive as possible. We help businesses be their best. I am confident that your organization would benefit from our expertise in this arena.

To date over 100,000 employees have been trained using our Professional Workplace Conduct Program to ensure that employees have a work environment free of harassment and discrimination. We provide a proactive program to 'raise the bar' on workplace morality and provide employers an affirmative defense to these human nature events.

This is accomplished by our three step approach:

First, we train all of your supervisors, managers and employees. Our approach is distinctly different from other programs. It does not include three ring binders with volumes of reading material that far too often end up in the bottom of someone’s desk. Supervisors learn exactly what to do and what not to do when an employee reports an issue. Each supervisor and manager is tested and graded at the conclusion of the training. Employees are trained to understand the definition of harassment and discrimination. Additionally, they learn exactly what is required of them to report an issue that the employee believes to be inappropriate or offensive.

Second, our national toll-free call center is available to all employees 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in both English and Spanish. This system has proved to be extremely valuable when an employee reports what they believe to be an issue. A third party, non-biased reporting service, like First Response provides employees with a way of reporting issues outside of the potentially threatening confines of the organizational structure. It also serves as an effective deterrent to individuals who might become involved in some form of inappropriate conduct as First Response also furnishes notices for each client business location with our toll-free number. Once a call is received, our client companies are notified immediately so that a proper investigation can begin. We transcribe the call and relay a copy to the appropriate person. A audio recording of the call is also maintained for future reference.

Third, we further provide complete documentation necessary for a client to demonstrate its efforts to create a work environment free of harassment and investigation.

We also provide a number of other Human Resource services to minimize business liability due to the enormous costs associated with failing to meet the requirements of the scores of federal, state and municipal regulations that affect business and employees today. Our Human Resource services include: HR AM/PM, HR School, employee complaint investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley (fraud) reporting and background investigations.

The cost of our programs is extremely affordable – and great value when you consider the financial penalties imposed by courts today. I appreciate your interest in First Response.
